A major component of this project was the establishment of a 2nd Order Horizontal (3rd Order Vertical) control network. All observations were performed using Static GPS.

This was a precise control survey carried out in order to locate a specific point three-dimensionally in a tunnel chamber in order to allow for precise drilling from a point on the surface 20 metres above. Work involved GPS (static) control on the ground surface and precise traversing and levelling through 1300 metres of tunnel.
